This course identifies and describes the changes in Montana insurance laws and regulations. The material reviewed in this course includes but is not limited to the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Insurance, classifications of insurers, relevant insurance definitions, licensing regulations and requirements, sales and marketing practices laws, producer duties and responsibilities, laws pertaining to all lines of insurance, property, casualty, life, and health.
This online self-paced course allows you to study independently, whenever it is convenient for you. All you need is a device (computer, tablet or smartphone) with internet access.
MT NFIP Required Flood Insurance Training - 4 Hours
This course will ensure that insurance agents, the main points of contact for policyholders and flood victims, have a thorough understanding of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) so they may effectively and competently serve the flood insurance buying public. This course meets the minimum education and training requirements established by FEMA for all insurance agents who wish to sell and service flood policies issued through the National Flood Insurance Program.

MT Preferred Business Practices for the Insurance Producer - 5 Hours
In this course, we will discuss both the legal and ethical implications of being an insurance agent. We will examine the best practices for sales, business, e-conduct, and privacy, and also look at loss control and consumer protection.
MT Understanding Homeowners Insurance Endorsements - 4 Hours
This course concentrates on issues relating to the valuation of residential buildings and structures. Most of the discussion will focus on many of the approved insurance forms of the Insurance Services Office (ISO). This course will not focus on the valuation of other personal property, nor does it address issues relating to loss of use.
MT Commercial Concepts for Experienced Insurance Professionals - 6 Hours
This course looks at the many types of commercial insurance coverages available and how they meet a business’ needs, including the risks a business is exposed to, principles of risk management, and the importance of insurance in managing risks. Additionally, liability coverage, business property coverage, business auto coverage, terrorism coverage and transportation and communication risks are covered. The course concludes with a look at terrorism coverage.
